Goddess Spear by tjentom Goddess Spear by tjentom
I was playing skyrim and the character had a two handed sword. When not in use, it's strapped to the back and is always visible. Many swords are interesting to look at close up, but seen on the back of a character as in skyrim it can be boring.

The goddess spear is designed to be visually interesting when seen in this manner. A statue is mounted right in the middle of the weapon. What was once a boring sword is now unique and interesting.

I did originally intend this to be a sword but it now looks like a very large spear or a halberd.

The girl here probably weighs less than the sword but in video game land, this is not a problem, right? My focus for the warrior was to get more of a sense of movement. I have tried to do this by making flowing hair and cape.

Currently, I'm printing this on a plastic printer. I'll eventually sand and paint like an anime maquette. Will post in progress shots of that.

here is the physical model of the same pose

Fantastic weapon, so many swords and such are very boring and plain. It's definitely a rare sight to see some epic concepts put into them.

Thanks Jim. I have found an easy way to get unusual results is to take 2 separate 'things' and combine. Sometimes the idea is great in your head but terrible when you sketch it out.
